The don bar is the only place I can feel relaxed and that is due to the welcoming atmosphere that is created by the staff. I've never seen any trouble in the don bar . I've also never saw any pushchairs outside either. Whoever has been spreading this around need to look further afield as to what's going on. I have never met anyone as friendly as the staff and regular customers. The don bar is what I call a typical back street pub where people can go and enjoy a night out without any worry and you can't say that about must pubs these days.

As I regular in the Don bar for quite sometime now I must say that it is the most welcoming bar in town , clean tidy and well decorated , all the Don bar staff are much loved friends and all the staff are very vigilant when it comes to anybody taking a glass outside and therefore it never happens, not children have ever been left unattended in or around the premises during any of my visits , The Don Bar is not just a bar it's a home from home and it would be a travesty to lose the bar and it's lovely staff and regulars.
No way there has been any prams or push chairs outside or even inside the premises when I have been in and regards the trouble theres more trouble with the pubs on the high street. When I go out either with mates or not I like to go in pubs were I can chill and relax with a good pint which Julie passes with flying colours in all of them in my eyes.

As a member of staff at the Don Bar, I think that the pub is definitely ran well by Julie and the staff. It has far less incidents than most pubs in Stockton that I'm aware of. As for the allegations saying that prams are outside and that people are constantly outside with glasses, this is a total lie as this is not what I have seen whilst working. If anyone tries to go outside with a glass it is spotted straight away and a member of staff will quickly intervene. We have lovey regulars that come to the Don as they feel comfortable and welcome unlike in other pubs. They aren't just customers but are friends to us. Julie is a great owner and has put everything into the pub to make sure it's ran well and would be absolutely devastated if she lost the place so please help make sure she doesn't. :-) x

The Don Bar remains one of the most professionally run and safe bars in Stockton. It's community spirit is at the very heart of what SBC claims to be about.
