This is a once in a lifetime chance to protect this beautiful stretch of land from development and make SLO County an even greater green tourism destination.

After the King Range, this is the largest area of essentially unroaded undisturbed land proximate to the California Coast. Minimal human disturbance in the buffer land surrounding Diablo have allowed wildlife to thrive; they have lost so much ground elsewhere and need to keep the places left to them! Development of this flammable area in the wake of the deaths of people seeking to escape Paradise should be unthinkable. Paradise had several ways out and still more than 80 people were incinerated trying to escape. The topography of these buffer lands would allow fewer escape alternatives (unless mountains were leveled) than Paradise had. Development would be lethally irresponsible; the wildlife know how to use the land safely, and it should remain theirs!!
