As a environmental engineer who grew up utilizing the Deleware River as a classroom while studying at Lafayette College, the delecacy of the watershed and supported ecosystem became highly apparent. It is imperative that we sustain sufficient water flows on the Deleware River throughout the year to allow this fragile ecosystem to flourish and continue to foster the tourism and recreation industry it upholds.

I have been fishing the Delaware River for over 50 years. I see the water level dropping yearly throughout the summer and the quality of the fishing getting worse especially during the late spring through the fall.
New York is going to kill off the fishing and the economy of the town's relying on fisherman is suffering due to people not fishing the river's
You must increase the release of water to the upper Delaware River to help the economy and the health of the river.

Without question there is sufficient, time-based, data ( precipitation, reservoir levels, river flow, water temperature, etc.) collected over a long period of time -- to construct a model for the Delaware River system which would define what releases can be safely undertaken - even in the limit of extreme drought. River flow rates and water temperature profiles could be accurately estimated. Reservoir releases could be optimized with real time responses to high temperature and low tributary flow conditions. We have to lean on the bureaucrats to see that this happens. ... and see that a conservative plan is implemented, based on such a model.
