So sick of the council making up ridiculous excuses for just another attempt at trying to scam small business owners out of money! No doubt they will suggest an “agreement” to keep the deck which would involve monetary contributions to the council from this business. Let the deck stay, it contributes more to the local community that what the council is clearly doing!

Ridiculous ruling by NCC. I’m a local & find the deck a lovely & relaxing spot in the sun to enjoy delicious food. SAVE THE DECK!!!

This is an area of Cooks Hill that desperately needs activation and WIA have achieved this their store and alfresco area. To remove this would be counter-intuitive of NCC mandate of rejuvenating Newcastle CBD and the positives of this development by far outweigh any negative aspects it may cause to the car park. Please let common sense prevail.

I’ve lived in this street for 12 years and every single business that has been in that space has failed.. these guys are doing their best and need support.
