There is a wealth of information available for those that are interested, for examle, did you know that Sinfin lane used to be called Cotton Lane? or that "Dick's Pit" the former pond on the Sinfin Tannery site was plumbed to a depth of 80 feet, and was originally the former clay pit for the Sinfin Brickworks, who supplied the bricks for the building of Normanton Barracks?

I have very fond memories of this farm. Mrs Beresford was the lady who owned/ran the shop. The cats would be sat on the chocolate warming it up! Lol. Often used to go for me Anties eggs. Was also handy fir the lads selling golf balls that they found in the cow fields. Oh what lovely memories!

This it one of the only original building around here that is left from those days. That needs to be invested in and opened up to the public. It has to have a heritage order on it.
