Demolition of this beautiful house would be contrary to the values of Bainbridge. The house is in fantastic condition and would no doubt be a lovely home for a family. Further, the waste and cost of this house ending up in a landfill is irreversible and irresponsible. It’s proximity to beautiful downtown Bainbridge would help in the quick sale of this home. If anything, require the church to evaluate their actual need for parking.

I hope our Community will see the value in historic preservation of the few old houses left on the main thoroughfare . They can never be replaced only renovated and restored. It is worth the time and trouble .

Save this house! I have fond memories of staying there when my sister and her husband rented an upstairs apartment in this home. Loved going out on the little upstairs porch and watching folks go by on Shotwell Street.
