It is a shame that our stupid Congress is doing this because my great great uncle Wylie Fowler fought for that flag and his family and he was born in Selma Alabama and I am proud of it

Keep the flag and keep the constitution. let's stop withering away our history, it is all that we have left. As proud Americans. We need this flag to remind us and keep us humble. Yes we have stumbled and yes we have made mistakes but, God almighty! lets show the world that we can own up to our failures and still show our pride and our victories!

Keep the flag up! My Great- Great-Great Grandfather from Philadelphia fought for the Union and died at Antietam, he is buried there. That flag is part of our history and my history. Taking the flag down is the easy way out.

I have relatives who were wounded and died in the Civil War. My Great Great Aunt died at Andersonville Prison After she went there to help her wounded husband.

All of these bans and removals are making the flag appear as a racist symbol which it is not. It is the symbol of respect for brave men who fought for their homes and property. It is also a symbol of individualism.

This flag is honoring the dead. This is in no way a hate symbol. How would people feel if the went around demanding the US flag be taken down from the memorials for the Us military dead?
