Save the coaches at hull ice arena

Don't really see the point of what they have done

The amount of great skaters hull will loose because their coaches leave will be huge everyone knows skaters follow their coaches !!!

Getting rid of these coaches will affect many young people. There will be some very dissapointed children!

Wow, what can I say. A truly awful decision, yet again.

My daughter loves her skating and she is so upset she doesn't want to go anymore. What you are doing to this rink is outrageous.

Hcc don't be ridiculous in sacking such talented coaches. My daughter has been skating for many years now. And you've broken her heart. I hope your pleased with yourselfs. I don't know how you can sleep at night.

Skating is a great hobby for people of all ages! Great fun for all, presents opportunities to young skaters and great exercise (non joint-wrecking) for older persons! Try a bit of local cheap advertising (e.g. newspaper campaign) if rink needs to bring in more revenue!

Save the coaches update the rink

Think how many kids will now have no chance of gaining a career within this industry. How many kids have these coaches actually saved from a life of crime already just by simply giving them a chance in a sport that they have to think about their next move...how many lives these coaches have changed for the better you sure you want to cut that away? I sure u want to end these people's careers ? How much money do u think hull ice arena would lose if u took away the dedicated coaches? They rent that I've yearly...the arena gains off the students lessons especially if the student hasn't their own skates and if they do have their own skates they still gain as the coach gets paid and so does the arena...I do the maths...can hull ice arena really keep going without these coaches and their students?

Typical council cutting back more public amenities. My daughter has skating lessons here and loves it. At a time when there is such a big push on getting children more active you decide to get rid of most of the coaches..shame on you and your shortsightedness

I like loads of other parents are totally dumfound at what hull city council are doing to the arena and the coaches, I just can't see why when they work so hard with our children and do an excellent job, and hull being the city of culture!!

So sad... Clearly the council have no idea what skating means to people and their coaches. The government want more exercise for children and adults... Well this is exercise... And they keep closing rinks across the country... Disgraceful. Good like Hull !

i recently began lessons and Vicky Mayne my instructor is fab! She takes me and my daughter during school holidays. Hull has always been renowned for children and coaches putting lots of hours into practising. It's such a shame as hull is very lucky to have this facility and give the youngsters of the city hobbies! It should not be taken away from them. There is little to do in the city as it is.

Don't let us lose another public venue! The skaters who use this rink are serious about their sport and along with their coaches have put a lot of time and effort into putting Hull on the map through competitions and championships. Please think again about your decisions and listen to the people who care about what happens to the rink, the coaches and the teams
