We need a variety of programs in the north to both educate the local youth and to keep locals employed... vs. always trying to bring educated people to our community.

As alumni of this program I can attest that it is a very poor decision and will have a huge impact not only for the dental profession, but more importantly for the public and communities of the north that are already challenged with securing professionals to work in the remote areas. This type of decision cannot be made on the basis of cost/financial constraints, but must also factor in the values of the institution and the community it serves.

I took the DA program in 2012 and when I graduated I felt I was ready for the real world, not many can say that. I am planning on going back for hygiene in 2016. My family lives up north and I do want to be close to them while I go to school, but without the dental program in pg that will be unlikely. Save the great CNC dental program for the ones up North!!
