Petition To Remodel The City Park Basketball Courts We are bringing this issue to you on behalf of everyone who uses the the basketball courts located at 1920 Park Ave in Parkersburg, WV. While we understand that we may be asking a lot, we would like you to take into consideration of the importance of renovating the basketball courts. When we were younger the courts were in great shape, but today as you can see it has become worn down. We are trying to motivate not only children and youth to stay active, but adults as well. We need to give them a place where they can do that. Playing basketball isn’t only a good way to exercise and stay in shape, but it also is a way to teach the younger generation sportsmanship and how to be a part of a team. They learn values and how to work with others. This may not seem like a big deal to some, but for me growing up playing basketball was everything.
