I'd much rather see this gas station zoned as residential than re-zoning homes as commercial. Save the historic Strong house, and get rid of the gas station.

There is no need to expand that gas station and take away from the surrounding neighborhood and hometown owned businesses. We have enough gas stations in town as it is.

Preserving history helps remind all of us of what we're capable of doing. Back when times were simple and functioned at a much slower pace, when people and families were priorities, not money. Whether it's a structure or an old town center, those are the links to those times...and we need those reminders.

I don't believe this development is appropriate for this area, given that we have a new gas station just down the road. Increasing the space is exorbitant and unnecessary.

Historic places are vital to feeling rooted, feeling a legacy and pride. Pride instills patriotism and the desire to keep our home towns prospering, healthy and beautiful. Please stop the madness of succumbing to the almighty dollar. Save this gem and build quality of life in East Hampton by preserving and restoring this piece of history.

Isn't there enough history being torn down defaced and eradicated without adding buildings also? At the rate things are going we will have absolutely no history!!!
