Sarasota has a world class bird sancutuary with the Celery Fields. Seriously, you want to screw this up? My husband and I say hell no on this industrial recycling plant. His great grandparents came to Sarasota for nature and relaxation. What a pathetic excuse for development. And we -- world known Dr. Reed Noss are moving to permenately to Sarasota in May and find this disgusting.

This is one of Sarasotas most beautiful places and you can't take this small piece of beauty that we have away!

Why? Why disrupt/destroy nature other than to make someone wealthy? I lived thru this in Ohio and even though I was 6 miles away, I suffered the the "fallout". I ride my bicycle there weekly and the traffic is already a burden. This must be STOPPED IMMEDIATELY!

Please consider a different location. Most all of Sarasota and surrounding counties love spending time at the celery fields. My daughter and her girlfriends love to take walks with their babies and children there. There has to be another location for the landfield. Our wildlife needs the celery fields too. Thank you for listening, Kate

We have to think of the consequences of our decisions to allow big businesses to influence our government and environment. Please protect The Celery Fields.

Let's not destroy everything, there are plenty of other lands where this complex can go. This one is just wrong.

Keep in mind the same corruption is also in process of placing a Reataurant Depot directly across the street. Again, at the access of a park and preserve, school and many homes. Who are these people running this county??

I want to draw the line now, no more industrial commercial predatory development, we need the balance of nature to interact with our area, we don't live in a large metropolis, all these proposed developments will destroy our natural balance. I oppose it.

Very bad site for industry. Our family goes to the park, the Audubon Center, and always to the library here. Cannot we make it some place beautiful? Where else can the recycling center go?? I can imagine that no one wants to live next to this, must create an industrial park? We need more public green space, not less!! Maybe this could be a natural park that teaches residents how to care of our land and water, and creates a beautiful walking, bike riding place for all of us?
