How much of our animal's natural habitats are we going to destroy? Part of the reason people love Florida so much is because of the nature and beauty.

Watching retention ponds dry up ... that means less surface water. Less surface water means less deep water. By preserving large tracts, undisrupted, rain water gets back into the earth, into deep wells.
By preserving and protecting the sanctity of The Celery Fields, you preserve not only a much valued space for the wildlife and those that observe them, but also help to replenish surface (ground) water and deep wells. It is a win-win for Sarasota!
Tract after tract of housing diminishes quality of life, not just for the wildlife but for the people.

We love walking our dogs early in the morning. So peaceful. We call this area "Sarasota Serengeti" because we can often hear the lions roar from the Big Cat Habitat. Please don't take this away.

There is plenty of land east of 75 to put this plant ....do you really have to destroy the birds sanctuary in the process. Next to the celery fields is not the place. So many people use the fiels for so many reasons and a plant would destroy the park

Please step up and support the ENVIRONMENT for once. It is bad enough we have gotten rid of the bird sanctuary near University and I-75 with the UTC mall and the new Whole Foods that is going in near there. You have a beautiful, quiet and environmentally conscious space in the Celery Fields, DON'T destroy that. Besides that the Big Cat Sanctuary and Tatum Elementary School is near their. The noise alone will destroy the entire area!!!

There is so much development save room for the wildlife. They need somewhere to go. Thank you
Please STOP building.I moved from Ft.Lauderdale to get away from all the buildings . There is hardly any land left unless you move inland (far inland).

A recycling facility can be located in many places and be an asset. A thriving bird sanctuary and park situated at a regional stormwater facility can only be found in one place. Protect the Celery Fields.

No, Just No do not put this plant anywhere near/around the Celery Fields. Stop selling out our county to developers.

Stop destroying beautiful Florida. Enough already!
How about next to the landfill in Laurel?
A big mistake to ruin this beautiful area!
