I'm speechless that you would even consider this option so close to a nature preserve and neighborhoods.

I live near celery fields and this new recycling development was a terrible idea in this location. How did this even pass Sarasota strict zoning? This needs to be stopped and relocated to a more suitable area.

We are English and have a house on Anna Maria and the celery fields is one of our favourite places to go to look at the birds.
You have so much land why on earth would you want to put a recycling plant near such a wonderful attraction.

Who in their right mind would build something SO ENVIRONMENTALLY DESTRUCTIVE next to Celery Fields? I live just down from Celery Fields and I'm PROUD of the sanctuary that it has become. When I first heard of this, I thought it was click bait. This "idea" is as moronic as the email that was sent by the City Commissioner about ambulances going through Orange Ave.
I'm ashamed of Sarasota County for even entertaining the thought.

This is the worst idea! For once please put the ecology of this county ahead of the all-mighty pull of the dollar! The Celery Fields is a delicate and unique eco system that has already been disrupted too many times in the past. Now the area is finally thriving and these actions will undo all the work that has been done. Water is vital. Plant life is vital and and bird and wildlife that have made the area its home is not something that can be disrupted again. Since I moved to this area 15 years ago I've watched one wilderness after another fall to criminally faulty planning. Don't make the same mistake again!

Are you kidding me???? My county doesn't know to keep everything away from the bird sanctuary?? You already sold off most of the Celery Fields to the highest bidder. Come on Sarasota Cty. Quit being the biggest sell out of them all. Stop making the most stupid decisions for the land here in this cty. You sold the wet land at Honore Av. and University to Whole Foods....What you can't make proper decisions concerning our county? Duh. Do the right thing for your county. Money, greed and power doesn't belong in paradise, excuse yourself, NOW!

This is just asking to bring foregin chemicals in to a sanctuary!!! If this is the idea of a planner...It may be time to find a new person to plan things better.

My parents and I enjoy birdwatching at the Celery Fields. We come from Naples to see it. Please do not ruin the site with incompatible devopment. Thank you.
