The Celery Fields hill and bird sanctuary are highly used. Does it really make sense to spend our taxpayer money to build this beautiful bird sanctuary that draws people from all around the nation and possibly the world, and then allow it to be destroyed by air pollution from a recycling plant? What about the children attending Tatum Elementary school about 1 mile down the road from there? What about the Big Cat Habitat with the endangered animals that is about 1/4 mile down the road from there? Please be smart and stop this recycling plant from being built.

Please don't ruin the beautiful celery fields. It is a peaceful place for wildlife. We don't need a noisy, polluting contrete reccling center next to the fields.

Multiple other properties available. Tear down an existing structure. There are many!

Put it as far away from everything as possible! What are you thinking!

No. This must not be approved for an industrial facility. Leave bird and animal sanctuarys alone? Find another spot.

Cal, call, call. Ask for a commitment for more green space. Stop the development frenzy and plan it well.

Please stop destroying Florida's treasures. Once they are destroyed, there's no turning back. Please!!

This is supposed to be a SANCTUARY, not a FACTORY! We are losing more and more beautiful wildlife, trees, and wonderful plants in Sarasota. Soon enough, it'll be one giant city with nothing to look at.

I am absolutely opposed to a recycling plant next to the celery fields. The property would however be a nice location for a nursing home, senior living or assisted living home.

This is not the place for this. I wish they put this in your backyard. This will be a huge disappointment to the area, just after so much was spent to make the celery fields what they are today.
