The Celery Fields has been an iconic bird sanctuary for as long as I can remember. To disrupt the peaceful environment with a recycling plant will destroy a popular bird watching spot for myself and fellow citizens of Sarasota County. We also don't have the infrastructure in place there to accommodate the added traffic for trucks on Palmer. The County has already overdeveloped everywhere east of the Interstate. There must be alternate sites available. Please consider choosing elsewhere to avoid ruining the public's enjoyment of one of the few local natural attractions.

Preserve the Celery Fields, the quality of life here and our property values. This is the wrong place for this project.

This place is a getaway for my family. A chance to leave the city behind be step into peace and quiet. Having a recycling plant so close would destroy the sanctuary that is the celery field.

Just stop. Please stop. The development is ruining Sarasota. It's destroying wildlife and natural habitat. No more please. Make use of land already developed.

I love the celery field. It's my husband and mine's favorite place to walk our dog. My parents exercise here weekly. It's their primary place for exercise and many others.

As a Florida native, I would like to see some land preserved. I believe in recycling but there has to be a compromise with wildlife.

Oh gosh, a "doctor" had to speak his superfluous dialogue here and thus should be heard amongst the locals! Thank you Jeff for making sure we all were made aware you are a pHd. Look it Mr., here are the facts you cant digest: Get over it. Its an industrial use zone. Thank goodness we recycle and we dont over fill landfills. Rothenbach park was a landfill. Now its a park. Traffic has been going on there with heavy equipment for 20 years. Bla bla blaPhD, bla, bla. Go fight them to keep the plant at Rothenbach Park. Or maybe you didnt know it existed.

The celery fields are a wonderful place to admire Sarasota's nature and wildlife. A tribute to the county's forethought and understanding of the importance of our environment. Please don't screw it up for a few dollars in revenue.
Save our celery fields!
