Just moved here from Atlanta and surprised Sarasota's elected officials are as regressive as they are as demonstrated with this plan.

Don't think recycling center should be on palmer near celery fields. Needs less visibility.

Please reconsider building on this property. Doing so will deteriorate a natural beauty of Sarasota.

Save the celery fields. I live off Palmer and do not want a recycling plant to be built near the amazingly beautiful celery fields.

Celery Fields is a unique natural environment that attracts a large variety of birds throughout the year, with a changing selection throughout the seasons. This makes it a very attractive and well-known venue for occasional and repeat bird watchers from near and far. The recently completed volunteer-staffed visitor center adds to the attraction and the number of people who visit Sarasota specifically for bird watching, in addition to the large number of avid local regulars, including the Sarasota and Venice Audubon Societies.
To allow a noisy, dust-spewing industrial recycling plant, including concrete crushing, to be built at the corner of this remarkable treasure is unthinkable. It would be a real threat the the health and well-being of entire bird populations that frequent the property. A benign office or commercial building would be vastly more appropriate if anything at all is to be built there.

Please choose another site not so near this sensitive nature area we chose to create there, or so near private homes!

This is a very special area. The celery fields should be protected;do not allow this development of adjacent property.

After millions of dollars to create a bird sanctuary, how can any one of you think it is a logical solution. It will lower property values, chase away the birds due to the loud noise made by the machines. All that work will be lost. You have other properties to locate this facility. Do the right thing and find another location.
