Dear County Commissioners, We have very little untouched land in Sarasota already. why would you want to disrupt a bird sanctuary to recycle concrete?

Trash next to a bird sanctuary? Why is this being considered?

Seriously, why would anyone consider the Celery Fields as a site for an industrial recycling plant? Let us have just a little bit of commonsense.

We can't keep ruining things! Humans need to stop building and ruining what nature we have left to enjoy.

This spot becomes more and more important to the Sarasota and Bradenton area each year! Please don't ruin what you have already spent time and money to make better!

This treasure is one of the unique highlights of Sarasota. The ambience but more importantly the environment will be ruined. Celery Fiekds is a gift to future generations of children

As a local resident and someone who enjoys the natural beauty of the celery fields almost every day, I hope common sense will prevail. We must be good stewards of this important habitat.

The area around the celery fields is a beautiful bird sanctuary. When tourists are driving on I75, do we want them to see this beauty or a recycling facility? It seems pretty simple to me. As a county, Sarasota has put so much into beautification, it shocked me to learn that this was even a suggestion. Recycling is needed, but I'm sure there is an area that is better equipped for such a facility.

The restaurant depot does not appear to be compatible with the adjacent celery fields. We should make every effort to protect our sensitive lands.
