The county needs to provide quiet nature places for animals and people. Slow down the building of this TOWN.

Please save this area for the birds that come here and all the people from Florida and other state that are attracted to this area. Once it is gone there is no bringing it back. This sanctuary needs to be saved for us and for future generations.

The environmental impact to Celery fields could do irreversible damage. It is an area enjoyed by tourists, people from neighboring towns as well as residents of sarasota. The taxpaying residents in the nearby homes will have to deal with pollution in this now quiet and idyllic setting. Property values and quality of life will go down, and wildlife will suffer. Recycling plants are supposed to be built to help the environment. I don't see how this irony can be overlooked.

The celery fields should remain a bird sanctuary to maintain some biodiversity in the area.

I am an active voter, and I am asking you to protect the celery fields by not allowing the recycling plant to be built next to the fields. The noise, pollution, and traffic will negatively impact this sensitive area, popular with visitors (my cousin from SC asked to go back to the fields during her stay in town this weekend), birders, and residents. So, I am expecting you to protect this valuable area by NOT allowing the recycling plant to be built, and I will vote in reaction to your decisions. Even better, can the county please make arrangements to permanently protect the celery fields. The eagles, roseate spoonbills, and sandhill cranes are worth the expense and effort.

Give the birds and their visitors a break! Isn't there a more appropriate site for this type of operation?

Find somewhere else for this that won't endanger what had just recently been a haven for nature & wildlife.
