I remember the days when this really was celery fields. They grew celery, corn, cabbage. Alot of memories. They have messed up Sarasota enough already. Leave this natural part alone!

Seriously? Sarasota, stop the concrete jungle before it's too late.

This is a horrible idea! The Celery Fields are a huge asset to our community and environment. Please consider a different site.

Celery fields is the most beautiful place in Sarasota. A hidden gem. Putting a recycling plant next to it will take away from its health and beauty. Stop destroying our city!

Please keep this pure. No industrial trash!

I can't believe anyone would want to build a facility like that in that area. It will require a special exception to the I-75/Fruitville Road Sector Plan because it violates almost every part of it. The commissioners should not even have to think twice about rejecting this.

I strongly oppose the destruction of this designated park and wildlife area. There are plenty of industrial parks and non-residential areas where the facility can be relocated without disrupting wildlife.

Sarasota has so little open green space left. Don't take this precious area away from the community!

I walk the Celery Fields almost daily and the sounds, diesel fuel emissions from trucks and equipment and traffic congestion will impact the wildlife and human habit without question. I will not support any commissioner who votes for this facility to be constructed. It belongs in an industrial area, not a residential/wildlife habitat. Thank-you for your support if you want mine in the next election!

Find a different location for this; not at the beautiful celery fields.

This is disturbing. Beautiful site next top the sanctuary & one of the best running spots in town. There's not a better site available?

This would be horrible for that area along with an eye spar from the Interstate. Seems somewhere on 301 or 41 could accommodate this need.
