We do not want to ruin the beauty of the Celery Fields. Bad for local residents, tourist, and the animals that call this area home.

Great facility - dead wrong location! It goes against our comp plan. It is not compatible with the area and will detrimentally effect the surrounding area homes, businesses and wildlife. If Mr Gabbert didn't have inside access and knowledge we wouldn't be here- that is clear and evident. Voting no on this industrial waste recycling facility is the only option to show you do have Sarasotas citizens best interest in mind.

I see this as a public safety issue. First of all the infrastructure is not currently in place for the added traffic. Second, silica dust os deadly and to have 35 foot piles of crushed concrete within a couple miles of two elementary schools, many neighborhoods and across the street from a bird sanctuary and park is irresponsible, short sighted and reckless.
I'm in no way against recycling. It's thr right business just the wrong location for it.
Commissioners, I ask you to vote no for this project.

It's just not making sense to me that the county is consideringbuilding a 16-acre industrial recycling plant next to the bird sanctuary at the Celery Fields. Some of us can't live on the Gulf or on Sarasota Bay -- we'd like to be able to continue to maintain the serene wildlife habitat that is close to our homes. Thank you.

According to stidies from America Bird Conservancy and others, bird populations have been steadily and mountingly decimated within a few short years - habitat loss being one salient cause, glyphosphate use being another. The runoff alone from the proposed plant would decimate whatever refuge this area provides for these dwindling populations, let alone the negative effects from noise. Humans are just as sensible of these dangers, and live in close range to this site. Find a desolate place to fulfill this work, or build to guarantee full, foolproof containment and total silence.
