If you care anything about the residents that live near here you will move this facility elsewhere. This is too close to families and wildlife. We have labored for what we have and invested too much, do not destroy our community.

Spent all that money to establish this wonderful place, only to destroy it by allowing this facility? Makes no sense. The Celery Fields bring national and international borders to the area. Not sure there will be as many birds or as many tourists if this facility is allowed to be built.

Please dont do this! This will affect the air that my children breath. We just bought a home a few neighborhoods away from this. How completely devasting. I thought Sarasota was better than this.

It took a lot of taxpayer dollars to make the improvements to that area. Why in the world would you want to destroy it. I am pretty sure there has to be a more appropriate place

Celery Fields is birding treasure in Sarasota Co. & part of the Florida Great Birding Trial. The Sarasota Audubon just opened a center there. Volunteers are there daily to offer assistance visitors. In a city with massive growth and unbearable traffic, please protect a piece of what makes of what makes this place so special.
Celery Fields is an excellent example of dual use as it serves ass our primary storm water collection zone and wonderful natural destination for recreational and birding interests.
Surely the County can find a more compatible use for the land next to it rather than this industrial one.
