Not only would removal of these trees destroy the iconic character of the city, it would severely devalue the area, ultimately harming the potential for long term, sustainable, and responsible growth of the community in a way that celebrates what makes Tallahassee a great place to live, work, and play in the first place.

Tallahassee is ubiquitous with southern oaks. Urban development is more than just tearing down a city’s character and building the same gentrified, boring spaces you see in every other place. We’re more than just strip malls here. We can grow while retaining the charm that people love our town for.
