Save the Cascade Police Department

Please leave cascade Police department they benefit everyone that lives in cascade and the Donnelly aera . They need to stay and with out them cascade and Donnelly would got to hell and the violence would start . No police means lots of trouble... Police department needs to stay

As a property and business owner we need our local police department.

We need city police

I'm very concerned bout the response tike and the available coverage of the city and valley county itself with under staffed sheriff's depeartment.

Eliminating services (contracting out services) for a small community is a slippery slope (start with police department, what's next ?). The Cascade Police Department should remain in place .

My wife and I are a seasonal residents of Cascade. The rest of the year we live in a town of 5000 people in New Mexico. This town does not have a police force. Instead they contract with the sheriff to supply one deputy, 40 hours per week. It costs the town $130,000 for this. It is not effective. If Cascade thinks they can save money by contracting with the sheriff, it is not realistic. Keep the city police force and look for other ways to save money within the department.

In this age we need the police presents, Casacade Is a fantastic vacation spot! I want to feeL safe knowing there is a police force in town...praying Cascade makes the right decision "Go with the blue"

If you want to keep the community of Cascade safe, it is important that you keep the local Police department up and running with no shut downs. Please City Council consider that if the City is safe, other organizations with in the City will benefit. Thankyou.

We hunt, fish , shop and camp in and around Cascade, and it is very important to us, that there is evidence of a police department, to be there for us, at moments notice to protect, and help us, in any situation. We have used them in an emergency, and were so grateful for their kindness and professional courtesy to our family. Please do not disband the City Police.

The Cascade Police are doing a great job. With the amount of traffic, and people on the weekend or week long events the police present help keep the community safe. People coming into town running a muck in the bar, leaving the bar drinking a driving. I don't want to loose my family members or friends to those doing drug and drinking and driving. The county will not be able to provide the need protection. Save the Police. I guess we can carry all the time to protect our selves. Protecting the school is also needed, and at school events. Local Police care about your kids. The police do a lot more then what we see. If you don't have a police present more drug problems and burglars, break in, thief will increase and recovery will be not likely happen. Will that cause people that own vacation property to sell off there property because they have more break in and thief.

I am totally against disbanding our police department. The police in our community are very caring and just nice. I too want local police in order to insure our safety. I think our tax dollars are better spent here even though we may have to cut back in other areas, in addition I urge the City Council to vote to not disband our police department, or at very minimum put it on a ballot and allow the voters to decide.

Disbanding this police department would just put more strain on surrounding departments to cover more area.

They need them there to protect all the people. As well as those of us who love to visit and stay there! For different time periods!

I hope this showd the mayor and city council we the people want and need the city police. And its time to listen instead of ignore as usual Mr Mayor. At least the officers will stop and listen if just to say hello, unlike the alternitive in alot of cases.

The Cascade police department has helped with many situations in my house, I don't know what would have happened if they weren't there to help and keep me and others safe.

Doing away with the police department makes absolutely no sense at all. That's just inviting chaos.
