As a member of WRUV I loved finding out that another station was bringing a unique format of programming to Burlington area, specifically music that was dear to my heart. Changing Big Cat's format to a 70's AOR station will only diminish the limited variety of programming available in the area.
I hope your programming stays as it is and if there is anything WRUV can do, let us know.

The music that the Big Cat currently plays is exactly the kind of music I listen to. I have my number one selection button in both cars set to FM 98.3, and I listen to it all the time. Please keep this format. There are enough stations in the area who play the 70's-80's music that I would stop listening to your station if you changed.

With its amazing mix of songs from an era of music that was profoundly creative and passionate, WCAT is easily the most unique radio station on the dial here in VT. I love the Big Cat!

Big Cat changing to 70's music is a heartbreaking prospect. When my car radio first picked up their broadcast of beautiful music of the 50's and early 60's in July, it was like a gift from the heavens. I promptly bought a nice radio for my house, specifically to listen to this station. As I mentioned in a previous message to the station, I consider Big Cat to be an oasis in the desert of terrible music that covers most of the dial. I really hope something can be done to change their minds. If their programming really does make people tune out, that is indicative of a very sad state of musical taste..

Great station the only station that plays that format left in our area. Listen to it every day to and from my work.....That is 2 hrs a day.. Over the summer always on all day Sat and Sunday..Save the Big Cat!!!!!!!

I think the issue is probably with the all-male corny country music. Music more closely aligned with the doo-op, rock 'n roll eras (Haggard, Jones, Lynn, Wynette, Cash, etc.) would fare much better.

WCAT is, without question, the best (my favorite, at least) station on the radio! WCAT is the only station I can stand to listen to for my entire commute. The last thing we need around here is another station playing crud from the 1970s. I remember those times - the music was AWFUL!

The best station in the area ! Some of the generic Pop, Pop Rock, Pop Country or Hip Hop is good but it's almost all we hear now. Boomers still like to listen because we grew up with radio but alot of the newer music and singers sound alike. WCAT gives us a welcome break from the modern format with a distinct varity of older sounds we value for their uniqueness and originality. We'd really hate to lose what you've given back to us.
