GOOD NEWS!! Thanks so much for everyone's support and comments...it's been a long time in the making, but the Burlington Big Cat music will be saved! Thanks to a collaborative effort with the station ownership of 98.3, we have created a new radio home for the amazing sounds of the late 50s and early 60s. January 15th, 2017 is the official launch date of the new AM 1070 and FM 103.7 WPLB, Mid Century Radio for the Champlain Valley. The signals will provide even better coverage across the region, and we are so thankful to everyone involved in helping us make this happen. Please tune in to 103.7 and 1070AM starting January 15, where the greatest music of all time will live on!

I am currently finalizing a formal proposal for the station ownership regarding the specific broadcast schedule. The volume of signatures has allowed me to secure a direct line of communication with the management team. I will report back once the next round of negotiations concludes.

A radio station with this format is needed, if only as an antidote to the cookie-cutter stations heard across the country (This is one of only two local radio stations that I listen to). This is classic music, great music, and many people have been waiting for a station like this.
This station is my new obsession. My family has a vintage Telefunken and we LOVE listening to the music that was meant to be played on it as we dance around the living room. Programming that is sorely lacking in this area. Please don't change it.
There are still (or I hope so) quite a few of us "oldies but goodies" out there that would want to keep this format going. I'm now 80 yrs old & do not enjoy the modern crap that now plays on the airways. So tell the ownership to let well enough alone. Best Regards-Alan H. Hutchins
Right, what's needed is another classic rock station that has a play-list of a few dozen songs on an endless loop. This is a unique station, and it would be a shame to lose it. I've been getting people in other states to listen online too, and they've liked it as well.
WCAT is, in my opinion, the best station in Burlington. The mix of oldies, C&W, and R&B is fantastic -- and I appreciate the "deep cuts." '70s rock is already well-represented on the air. Please keep 98.3 the way it is!
Keep up the good music!
Please keep this great music going.

Best radio station I've ever heard. I've only in my 30's, but what's on every other station isn't for me. So when I'm in the area, I'm tuned to this station. When I'm not, I'm streaming it. Please don't switch formats. And please, more Connie Francis music. :)
