Please stop butchering the Bulldog name. It is not the 'net dogs' 'water dogs' etc. It is the BULLDOGS. No matter what sport you participate in, or if you are a supporter, you are a Bulldog, plain and simple.

Why would they ever think of changing the name for the mascot?

I graduated in 03...Bulldog Pride ran through our family since I can remember...in fact it's a big reason I continue to take photos of all the varsity football games in Honor/Memory of a man I considered the Bulldogs biggest fan...Cloyd "shorty" Alger my grandfather

As for the Bulldog issue that you as an individual ( Lyle Kittle ) are facing...I agree with you 100%. Once you are a Bulldog, you are always a Bulldog, doesn't matter if you played any sports at all, swam, ran cross country or played football or any sport you are a BULLDOG, not a Water Dog, not a Volley Dog or not a Lady Bulldog (we all know what problem that causes). One exception Joe Bath was a Hot Dog - also, we seem to have an issue in Celina in deciding what to call the schools, when we were in school it was Celina Senior High, had been Celina High in the old days, but once we all got that straight, they change it back to Celina High, really? It's like being Larry King and being married 12 times!!! Now there is no Celina Junior High, no Celina East or Celina West...now it's Celina Middle School, Celina Intermediate School, Celina Primary School and Celina Elementary School and no Franklin at all in Montezuma!!!! I should know, I'm never wrong, after all I'm from Mercer County and I am never, never wrong.

Do not change the Bulldog mascot name. My mother, my uncle, my brother and I graduated from Celina High School and were known as the Bulldogs all those years with many great memories. I never see a bulldog puppy without being reminded of our school legacy. In 1969, we won all ten football games and the championship...a proud moment as the Celina Bullldogs. Leave the name and history intact.

We were Celina BULLDOGS when we graduated in 1970. We are Celina BULLDOGS still today. Quit changing our name. The Celina Bulldogs are who we are and who we should ALWAYS be.
