The Amazon rain forest is one of the most bio-diverse regions on earth and houses over 3 million different species and makes up about 10% of the Earths total bio-diversity. By slowly destroying the Amazon Rain forest it has been leaving countless animals without a home, these animals are then left on their own with no habitat or food sources. The current percent of the amazon that has been deforested is 17% however scientists are saying if it reaches 20-25% it could have harmful and lasting impacts on the globe.
By stopping the amount of deforestation we will be reducing the amount of carbon emissions and preventing further damage to the already struggling planet. By signing our petition you will be helping us to keep the Brazilian government accountable in order to enforce stricter laws on deforestation which will save countless animals and species.
