香港作為一個國際大都會，相信能有一個容鳥的氣度。一千多平方公里的面積，四千多億的外匯儲備，加上整個政府中眾多高學歷的人士，竟不能尋求一個與鳥和平共處的方法，反而對問題不求甚解， 倉促中建出一個不知所謂的鳥刺，認為血跡斑斑必然會比漫天羽毛衛生及整潔。若這個城市連容鳥的氣度也沒有，如何容人?裝鳥刺趕鴿定一個粗暴陰險的行為，往往會傷害小動物，於一個文明且高舉人道主義的社會顯然是不道德的。況且，香港的生物多樣性並不只有盧氏小樹蛙，城市中的生態圈更有是香港可貴的寶藏，鳥類是城市生態中不可或缺的一環，如只以人為城市的中心，未免太短視和無知。政府作為香港的管治者，並非單單是要以最簡單直接的方式滿足市民訴求，更是要思考分析整合，考慮措施對社會風氣及生態的長遠影響。 I believe Hong Kong people will have the magnanimousness of accepting pigeons as our neighbours. As a city with 1000 km square of land, plenty of funding, and a staggering number of highly-educated citizens joining the government, it is riddiculous that the authorities rushed to find a solution without fully understanding the problem. Installing birds spikes violates values like compassion and harmony, being undoubtedly unethical in a civilized city upholding humanity. Furthermore, the biodiversity of Hong Kong is not only comprises of rare species like Romer's tree frogs! Pigeons are also part of the ecosystem. Hardly can I believed that the government can tolerate bird spikes in Hong Kong!!!
