I think depriving collectors of the chance to complete a set is just bad business. No matter what a person does, there will be those that find it offensive. Why should the patrons and enthusiast be neglected for the opinions of others.
People in this world are too touchy about the wrong things when they need to be focused on actually serious things. Nothing wrong with this cover and I a woman. ITS the Joker and Batgirl. Its meant to be intriguing.
Don't take it to heart, its comics at its best. The writers the artist, they all work hard to give us enjoyment to read and look at comics. that is my choice, if I don't like it, don't buy it. give me that choice. The cover will help me buy the comic book.
as an avid DC comic reader and collector, it would I would be disappointed if this variant was not re-enstated. It would also make me question future purchases knowing that social option can effect an artist freedom of expression.
Ridiculous to pull it. The cover didn't "suggest" anything other then that Joker is creepy and Batgirl is scared. Are we going to sweep under the rug what Joker did to her now too, DC? You've already made her look like a hipster tween...

the joker is a violent psychopath who has been in many situations similar to this with male characters, so if anything, pulling this cover is would be sexist due to the fact that people only get offended when a female character is put in this situation rather than a male
