This course has historic significance in the disc gold world. It’s already been changed once please leave it in place.

The backside of the La Mirada Regional park is widely utilized by disc golfers and the public. Constructing a building and road in this area will cause congestion in the already crowded lakeside portion of the course. Also, many beautiful trees are located in this area. Removal of these trees will affect the squirrels, owls, and other wildlife habitat. My last point is any development in this area will affect future disc golf tournaments. La Mirada is considered the crown jewel of disc golf courses and people from all over the world come to play the courses and the tournaments. The tournaments bring in revenue for the city. A maintenance building does not need to be on site.

To take out this portion of the park would be terrible not only for the loss of the Disc golf course. But also because we would be losing the area of the park that contains the most trees. If any part of the Park were to be taken out for the need of space the area surrounding the Gym would be that far more logical part.
