I purchased a home 3 yrs ago that was built on long island in 1790. We are loving this home back to life! We live across from a 1675 house and next to a 1730 sheep farm (still a working farm!) It's important to history of your area to retain these homes. We have an organization called SPLIA that helps keep the integrity of our older buildings on long island NY. Maybe there's an organization in this area that can help preserve the antiquities!!!
