It's a historic treasure ! Please save it and keep your word on plans that have been public for two years! Don't lose the trust your donors and lifetime supporters!

At the very least a much more thorough review of costs and a more open bid process needs to be carried out.

Tearing down the Amp will forever change the character of the Institution. Preserve the historic structure and the unique character of the bounds.

My allegiance is to the Institution, its architectural integrity and future. It means a great deal to me. The push for a Feb approval is concerning. There is room for compromise. There is nothing that says that in light of "new" information, the goals of the project can't be reassessed. So why not do that? And frankly, until they rehabilitate the programming, I am doubtful the Amp can fill the seats it has let alone fill more of them. It will be interesting to see the marketing campaign built around a tag line that says "Come to Chautauqua for its history and charm", while bulldozing the centerpiece.

Destroying the amphitheater is akin to changing the whole Chautauqua experience. Don't do it.

Please help to retain the original historic character of the Chautauqua Institution. Progress is great, but if we destroy our true character and replace with all new and improved we will begin to look like "any-place" USA
