My family lived in Chautauqua from 1961-2000. Many of my childhood memories revolve around the pool and all the lower end of the park offered. To destroy that amp would be a travesty to the history of such a wonderful place!

The Amp simply should be preserved for the sake of its Historical Posterity alone but it Must be preserved to save Chautauqua's very soul. If the collective establishment proceeds with demolition then it will portend its own destiny in the process. I favor a plan that pays appropriate tribute to the original and beautiful design and construction effort of the ampitheater.
