Why disturb these people when they have done all this work

Good luck. I hope you manage to keep your site. Are you involved with the National Allotment Scheme? They may be able to give you some advice even if you are not involved. It's worth a try. Allotments are even so beneficial in so many ways. It must be a nightmare for the tenants. All the love & hard work they've put in. All the benefits they've got out. Not just the food their health both physical & mental but the friendships they've made. It's one of the few places they can go in these terrible times.

Now more than ever, allotments are vital for the communities they create, are an essential aid to mental health and physical wellbeing. Please consider the impact this development will have, both on the local community and the Local environment. It is a valuable green space which should be safeguarded.

the community is enriched by the spirit and wellbeing that has been provided by the use of the allotment. young children have been taught the joy of growing & nature. friendships have been shared by those here and past its legacy should continue. haven't you built enough soulless dwellings in Clitheroe.

Allotments are essential to British life - it’s always been part of our tradition . Where I live all the overdevelopment is being done without any percentage of it being allocated to social housing. It’s all about greed and not about the community and what they want . Allotments are a lifeline in these days of pandemics and mental health issues caused by modern life. Please don’t take this from the town.

This green space needs to be preserved for the community. Clitheroe doesn't need any more houses!
