The allotment is safe and will remain a source of life for our community. This outcome proves that spaces dedicated to growth and connection possess a value that cannot be measured by development alone. I am grateful for the steady persistence that helped protect this land for the future.

The community allotment must be saved! We are calling on you all to help us save it from being taken away by the land owners Onward homes and turned into yet more housing!
The community allotment is not just a beautiful little spot that's home to various small wildlife but it provides many wonderful learning opportunities for many children and adults such as ecogoly and important life skills to name a few. A small local business that works within the education sector also relies heavily on the allotment.
The mental health benefits of being apart of a supportive social hub while enjoying the outdoors is also to strong to ignore. Many have also seen the physical benefits in recent years, using the allotment for rehabilitation purposes.
Growing our own veg is also proven to ease and heal in many situations.
We are rapidly losing gorgeous green land and it must be stopped!

The council are destroying Clitheroe's community spirit in favour of council tax revenue. This will displace birdlife bats and owls. Trees will be removed. What happened to Ribble Core Strategy.

I have an allotment here in Ambleside and I don’t know what I would do without it! It helps with getting my out the house and it’s helped so much with my mental health!

Now more than ever, allotments are vital for the communities they create, are an essential aid to mental health and physical wellbeing. Please consider the impact this development will have, both on the local community and the Local environment. It is a valuable green space which should be safeguarded.

the community is enriched by the spirit and wellbeing that has been provided by the use of the allotment. young children have been taught the joy of growing & nature. friendships have been shared by those here and past its legacy should continue. haven't you built enough soulless dwellings in Clitheroe.

A beautiful communal garden, where everyone is welcome. To take this space from so many, especially just for 3 houses is cruel and illogical. It's a mini nature reserve, it's a productive garden space and allottment, where people who don't have a garden at home can go if they wish. It's so many things to do many people.

This is an invaluable asset to the local community, both educational & also one of the very last "green spaces" in Clitheroe which is now a very over developed area, this need saving for future generations as it is ireplaceable.
