The intended closure of the A&E Department at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, Worcestershire and cosequential downgrading of this fine Hospital which Staff, locals and many hundreds of well wishers have fought so tirelessly to preserve, is yet another example of the severe draconian measures that this goverment are capable of to destroy a NHS that was, and still is, the envy of the world. Having just survived a very serious operation for Cancer, I cannot praise too highly the wonderful care and attention that I received from Medical teams, nursing and post operative, and general care staff, who are dedicated to the high standards that we should expect from them. We must unite, once again, in support of this Hospital and maintain it's full complement of services, which, if allowed to be exploited, will lead to nowhere to turn to for emergency treatment.
