Keep our Fall Creek Falls Inn and Conference Center and use our tax money for keeping it in repairs and paying employees a good salary.

I am aware that the park loging is in need of renovation; however, if privatized, state workers would lose thir jobs. I'm sure some of then have children. I was told there is $20 million set aside for the renovation of this property. I am in favor of renovating the property; however, I'm in favor of demolishing the current structure and privitizing the property. This particular park has done quite well over the years and it would be a diservice to the community in addition to the people who currently work on the property to lose this as a state funded park. Please don't do this to the community and the workers!!!

Just as the Federal Government employs staff and caretakers to maintain the facilities at our National Parks , so does the many States of the union do the same in their State Parks. I would argue that the demolition of a perfectly sound structure and the building of a new one (at taxpayer expense) to only allow a private company to manage the daily operations; paying lower wages; not providing the same health insurance or pensions; and still requiring the taxpayers to maintain the facility and pay for upkeep, is simply a very poor contract for the citizens of our state and for those who are directly impacted in the community. The BEP funding for the local schools will be negatively impacted due to the loss in revenue for the 24 to 36 months of downtime which would be experienced.

My recent visit to the Inn revealed an extremely sturdy structure that needs only minor updates for improvement. The Inn needs to stay available and affordable to Tennessee citizens and visitors. thank you

Wilderness preservation and privatization of hospitality services are 2 entirely separate functions. The Tennessee State Parks will still own, manage, protect and grow the park and its natural resources.

Really? Do people actually believe the "park" is being tore down? Come on... The park and its natural resources will still be owned and maintained by the state! The boundaries will and can continue to grow.

The park and its natural resources will still be owned and maintained by the state! Robots are not taking over... people will still be needed to fill the same jobs they do today. Privatization will offer a wider reach of advertising and bring in more visitors, thus creating MORE job options and opportunities.

The park and its natural resources will still be owned and maintained by the state of Tennessee. Only the management of the facilities that are old and in desperate need of repair and/or modernization would fall within the private sector. This is not the job of our government. Allow the community outside the park to grow its hospitality services instead of being controlled by the state with its limited resources.

Just to be clear... this is a political viewpoint. The park is NOT going away or being sold. The park and its natural resources are property of the state of Tennessee and will continue to be protected and maintained as such. This petition is a political viewpoint only for privatization of the facilities within the park itself. It is important to remember the purpose of our government and the purpose of the private sector. It is NOT the job of the government to provide services for which the private sector can and should do. While state jobs may shift to corporate jobs, the jobs will NOT be replaced by robots. People will still be needed to fill the same jobs they fill today.

I grew up in Pikeville enjoying this beautiful park......still have many relatives there and meet at the park! It should remain state owned and operated by the people!

The Inn was built in 1972 it has not been that long ago...let it STAND..our people need their jobs and benefits...Why take that away...We are not for sale
