save the park....the kids need it more then the dogs....use that money to help the kids not take from em

Tarkington Park should be a "destination park" for the kids and adults who live within walking distance and cannot get anywhere else. Splash park? Great! Bocce Ball? Not so much. Football and basketball are the sports the kids in the neighborhood play.

SAVE TARKINGTON PARK ->The children should be more important and included in what is being proposed for renovations. A football field is needed for the youth programs. There are several changes that need to be included in the proposed renovation or it should be a NO GO if these children's needs are not met! Their lives and activities matter to keep them active and out of gangs and other malicious activities. We used this park when we were growing up. There were games, music festivals, a place to enjoy family activities and picnics. We had fun.

We've ask for pools...nothing. Over 20 years ago they relocated the basketball court wow!! They removed the baseball diamond years ago. All this land and still no football field no respectable parking for a park of it's size, no water park but the city wishes to build a dog park? I know the first thing to be said is the city doesn't have the funding. Well it seems you have it for the dogs. We know how "you people" feel about your pets over "our people" but to pull this smack in the face this community is NOT going for that.
