Once you lose the student's trust that you made a fair and just decision, they will forever question authority. An admission and reversal of the decision will restore their trust.

Dr. Lyons you were not being honest during your television interview.
Basic psychosocial principles revealed your worthiness to lead the district. Perhaps your former district could utilize your type of incompetent skills.

Sylvia Palacios is one of the most amazing human beings I have encountered at FISD. Sylvia supported my child in every way his entire four years at Frisco High School. Sylvia Palacios, quite frankly is the very reason that most of the kids who face adversity in their personal home life, make it through to graduation. I am a parent of former and current Frisco High School students, and I am appalled that a women of such grace and character would be punished for doing the right thing. Frisco, Tx is a city of affluence, and because of this many feel a sense of entitlement because of it. Sylvia Palcios is a person who does not care about what you have, and cares more about an individual's character, honesty and integrity above all. Sylvia Palacios did nothing more than follow policy and procedure established by FISD, to supposedly ensure equal treatment of ALL students in FISD. To punish a person for respecting, and executing a policy established by the organization and community that they serve, is the WORSE example any adult can set for young developing students. The FISD school board may stand by their decisions, however, I hope these board members understand the power of our votes at election time. The kids of this generation utilize the power of social media to bring injustice to light, share their opinions of these injustices, and use it to execute their stance on the injustice. As a parent, and Frisco resident, I am incredibly proud of the actions of my children and their peers, and how they addressed their opinions of this injustice. I am astounded at how they were able to plan, execute, and organize a peaceful demonstration in a matter of days. The millenial generation has discovered and utilized the power of their global voice through social media, and their connection to one another. This power is greater than the traditional politics that the days old, have used to have a voice. I urge those who can right this wrong, to carefully consider the future impact

Dear Superintendent Lyon,
The School Board has authority over you and, therefore, ultimately over Principal Palacios. Your "statement" is classic political obfuscation and actually says nothing of significance. Have the courage to admit your initial decision was wrong. Give Principal Palacious your support. Frisco High School will benefit and the students will have learned an important civic lesson. Cheers.

She is a true model for educators to follow.
We don't have the drugs...drop outs..racial problems...
We do have students who are on track with educational goals.
Students register to vote. And vote out the current school board one by one. Then fire this wannabe superintendent for Frisco ISD.

She is optimal for FHS. Don't change what is not broken and follow the FISD Mission Statement. The students and most of the faculty believe in her. If you are elected or appointed, choose wisely. Otherwise, you may not be in your position much longer. What are your true intentions and why are you doing this? Communicate better if there is an issue. Otherwise, it is political, and you will not be far behind. Dominos fall fast. Make change wisely and with the support of the community. So far, a poor job has been communicated as to why change is needed. As a forensic accountant, it would not be very difficult to analyze and make public the backgrounds of the superintendent or the board of trustees. Look at the future and make the right call. Based on what I know, she is an exemplary principal and should not be treated as she has been. Please weigh the pros and cons and make the right call. She deserves better or the superintendent should communicate his actions for transparently for all to understand.

look at the most recent news, it is Dr. Lyon's feedback on our walkout. "change is necessary at frisco high school." The pay is the same for Sylvia, so why move her if its what the students want over here at frisco instead of sending her to a Discipinary school as AP/VP? Dr Lyon has proved himself as a pushover by the board and the teachers, and he's saying it's not their fault, but he wouldn't have gotten involved if it wasn't either the board or the parents. Why move Sylvia if she likes where she is and the pay will be the same at the other school? this is much more beneficial for the school as being right now.
