i graduated from FHS in 2008 and to see that it has come to this is a disgrace to the entire school board. If a single parent can rant and get a HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL dismissed, I have no faith in that board.

Very kind and sweet woman. This is truly insane. We have all these teachers that fail constantly to do their jobs and when we have a principal who loves her job and her students...we take that away from her and broadcast it to the world. I can't wait to leave FISD.

Mrs. Palacios is the most generous, caring, understanding and loving staff memeber that I have ever met. She has and will continue to influence a positive image for our students and faculty at FHS. She'll go out of her way to make someone feel better. I don't know of any other principal that has cared for us students as much as Mrs. Palacios has.

Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it!!
We allow our children to live by the example we set and this is not the example "leaders" of the community should be setting. What ever happened to doing the right thing, suffering the consequences, and teaching our kids to respect and honor adults in general? I am disappointed and appalled that someone's career and integrity would be compromised for the sake of one child. Watch out for this kid because the first time that he's told "no" or is held accountable for his actions, the reaction he may have may be a whole different matter on a whole different level. Unbelievable that parents will justify everything their kids do with no fault onto them. Bad parenting in my view!!

I've never ever have had a problem with Mrs. Palacios and my children have been at FHS since 2006, my last son is graduating Friday. I always saw her at the football games and playoff games, shame, shame on a parent that would cause someone to lose their position as principal because their kid didn't make a team, talk about helicopter mom, let your kid grow up and I know who this woman is and she will no longer have my vote.....Karma's a bitch and I hope I'm around to see it bite her in the butt!!

This is ridiculous. Our school system has given all the power to the students and parents. If educators cannot discipline students for their behavior, our schools will fall farther behind and we will not create productive, responsible citizens!
