Unfortunately we don't have very many facts, but one thing we know is that you can't speak any louder than by voting! The FISD superintendent is not elected, but each member of the FISD Board of Trustees are and they're the ones that hire the superintendent! If you show you're unhappy with the current board then show it by voting. Lyon's contract was just extended until 2018, but you can start affecting change within the board by voting accordingly!

I understand the student emotions. However, do you really think the Board could do this to a hispanic female one year away from retirement, all because of one upset parent? Think about it. There is more to this story. It's sad that the focus of this week is being taken away from us the students, and being placed on her.

I am so sick of hearing about people ruining other people's lives because they don't agree with someone doing their job. It's the rest of the boards fault also for allowing 1 person to get their way for revenge.

I am not a student at Frisco High School but know many of you. A great principal is rare to find. At my school, teachers constantly get sacked by parent outrages and it is such a shame. I hope FHS and FISD as well as other schools in the area (like my own) teach kids to confront their issues and not let their parents take over. This is a big step in growing up many of us in the area are missing. #savesylvia
