Growing up in Chester and seeing the changes that have taken place has dramatically changed the landscape of Chester. We have become not much of a town anymore but a Block of Mall stores that do nothing to the character or charm of a town. With Amazon on the coat tails of Brick & Mortor, Chester will become a boarded up town of Mall buildings with For Rent signs posted on 206. People will leave and the 4 corners will just be a stop light with Gas and fast food ! Not a Town The residents of Chester have to stand up and take back their town! Tuen Sunnyside into a museum.

Saving our historic homes is saving our history for our children and future. Please do not allow demolition of this property. State grants and monies are available for renovations.

Chester has 2 wonderful landmark buildings that can never be replaced, once gone. There's a CHAIN drug across the street and they're a dime a dozen all over NJ . Then, you have Mendham, that the residents don't even want to allow a Dunkin Donuts in their town because it will from the "charm" of their town. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THE DESTRUCTION OF SUNNYSIDE & LARRISON'S! Once a piece of history is gone, there's no getting it back. Chester doesnt need anotger strip mall. It does need another Larrison's and for some town office or equivalent to move into Sunnyside!

This should be a centerpiece of Chester rather than a discarded eyesore

Stumbled upon this petition as I was roaming the site of the town I grew up in as a little girl. Grew up in an old farm house built in the 1700s and Sunnyside was a place my family and I often visited. Chester is a beautiful historic town, and it would be a shame to see such landmarks be destroyed.

In preserving our historical landmarks we are preserving the significance of the architecture of that period, the people that lived at that time and the accomplishments they achieved to contribute to our understanding of our past and our hope for our future. We need to secure this home for the splendor of Chester!

How fortunate we are to still have this historic home... it would be a great loss to erase it from the landscape.

Once lost to demolition an historic treasure cannot be re-built. Save the character of the area. People are spending money on experiences not things. Save this landmark for people to experience their heritage.

There were too many historic houses destroyed in Chester already. This one should be saved.

Chester has already lost too many of it's treasures. Now it's time to decide what kind of town it will be in the future, and remember, once it's gone it can never be replaced.
