Preserve Chester's history.

Please save this beauty in the rough. I went there many times in the 1970's. It was my big brothers best friends home. It was spectacular. So sorry to see the state it is in now

we have too many historic sights already.

So glad something is being done. It is a wonderful house and needs to be loved again.

Tourism to the Chester area contributes a great deal to the revenue of the Chesters. By destroying historic buildings such as Sunnyside it not only hurts our bottom line but detracts from the historic nature of our town.

Historic architecture needs to be preserved, not demolished!

Having been ignorant of the actual history of this property until recently, it has long (35 years!) stood out in my mind as one of the remarkable and special buildings in Chester. Remarkable because it has withstood the changes of time and therefore is almost unique in Chester architecture. Special for its interesting architecture and setting and unchanged appearance. Anything that can be done to preserve this picturesque and unique bit of Chester history should be done.

So glad to see people working to preserve a historic dwelling, but so sad that this is still a fight we have to have.

This house should be restored to its original style. Chester used to be a proud town, now its empty storefront, lack of identity and this - the proposed demolition of its history. Save the building!!

Chester is a community that we moved into years ago because of it's architecture and rural landscape. Seeing so many historical homes torn down and trees that have lasted for centuries is so disheartening. Please do not tear this integral part of Chester's history and beauty.

It is a sad day when a historical landmark should be considered for demolition. This is not some run down house from the 50's. This house should be restored to it's former beauty so all who live in, visit, and pass through Chester can enjoy it.

This is a very important Chester structure. It was also the model for a number of Currier & Ives lithographs (as were other Chester structures and farms). Nathaniel Currier used to stay at the Crossroads Tavern during weekend hunting trips, and drew studies of many Chester homes and shops. That was a primary reason our family originally chose Chester to be our home for many years.

Why is it Even a Question! Part of the History Should Be Preserved!

Our Historic past is quickly disappearing! Stop the destruction! Adaptive reuse is the answer.

I grew up in Chester and like how it still has its historical flavor to keep the integrity of the town we all adore and love.

Please stop taking the beautiful parts of Chester away. We don't need another strip mall or restaurant or bank or housing development. Keep the history alive!

Please reconsider the demolition of this beautiful, historic home. This home is an important part of NJ history and deserves the recognition and reverence.

History and historical buildings are very important to me. Keep the integrity of.your town.

Restore and preserve it! Homes like this are unique and beautiful, a piece of history!
