The 6th graders at Highland Park should be able to finish their Summa education at this school. By eliminating Summa at Highland Park, they would have to choose between leaving the friends and teachers at Highland or following the Summa program to Whitford. Difficult choice for 6th graders!

The Summa program is something that helps separate Beaverton from neighboring school districts. It would be very unfortunate if the program were discontinued!

Hello, I am a 6th grader in HPMS and I have a couple friends in Summa. It would be terrible for them to leave Highland and I would not want that. You are welcome for me signing this.

Yeah I am also signing this petition again because I forgot to comment.
Summa is not just a class, we aren't just here to learn for academics. Summa is a community, a family that we have built on the trust and support of our peers. It is a place where we can be ourselves despite our differences. Taking away this program is like tearing a family apart, ripping the hearts from our chests. Summa is all we know and love.
Save the Summa program! Go Summa!!!

The summa students have worked so hard to get where they are today, by canceling summa, all of their hard work would have been for nothing.

Hold up, this whole petition is to let summa stay in highland. There is no need to attack the future 8th graders about something that isn’t our fault.
