Deplorable is the kindest, politest description I can give to this 'policy' by DEFRA. But barbaric, murderous and inhumane come closest to how I feel about it. Please, please, please don't down this route.

No badger deaths any where in the UK are acceptable to anyone with a conscience and a brain. The NFU only want this to save money as they know vaccines are the best way to save lives but don't want to spend the money. Farmers can afford to vaccinate and must be made to vaccinate cattle. It has worked elsewhere.

Please don't let Suffolk be dragged into the unscientific, brutal and pointless badger cull.

I have short breaks in Suffolk, often Yoxford. I have vowed never to support a politically motivated cull by being particular where i spend my money, not just leisure. Vaccination & movement restrictions only proven method, not destroying wildlife.

Culling Badgers is not the answer, don't murder the innocent, their blood will be on your hands

There is no justification on scientific grounds for culling badgers. The science tells us that there is every reason to suggest that culling will make any problem worse. The focus must be on vaccination where required.

Please do not cull out badgers. We need to use humane methods to deal with any situations with our wildlife.

tHIS CULL IS A CHEAP BUT CRUEL ALTERNATIVE TO VACCINATION DESIGNED TO APPEASE AND SADLY PROVIDE SPORT FOR THE HARD CORE LANDOWNING SUPPORTERS OF THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT.

There is not a problem with tb in with badgers in Suffolk so I would be interested in the justification for a cull

The cull is political rather than scientific, and is likely to cause more problems than it solves.

There is credible scientific evidence to support further culls & I call upon the council to oppose any use of its land for culling

Absolutely inhumane to cull badgers - look at the scientific evidence

The lack of evidence to support this cull is shocking. The cull so far has been flawed and must stop. It is cruel & I ask Suffolk County Council to pledge not to allow the cull to take place on any of its land.

With over 60% of our native species of wildlife in decline (see the State of Nature Report 2013) we should be doing everything we can to protect and nurture what little wildlife we have while we still can. Culling badgers is not a long term solution: vaccination is. Come on SCC do what is right
