It's a shame to hear this news. Hailey is the person with extraordinary character and is the perfect role model for her students. It's extremely unfortunate that Oakmont will no longer have the benefit of Miss. Stockman on their campus. She is young, energetic, passionate, dedicated, relevant and loyal... all desirable qualities that one would think you'd want to hang on to. She has been an intriguing part of the lives of my children both on and off the softball field. She's the perfect blend of serious and fun. Her knowledge of the game, the passion for the sport and the patience to work with young teenage female athletes (which is not all that easy) has revitalized the softball program. By challenging her athletes to be better every day and not just for themselves, but for the team, the program and the school. My kids were devastated that someone who brings so much value to the campus, not just athletics, can be looked over. I am very sad for Oakmont. Hailey Stockman is a gem and I think you will realize that now that your inbox is being flooded with emails and the signatures on these petitions add up fighting for Oakmont to keep her.
