So much effort and history. Should not be lost. Worth saving to keep this tradition on teesside

We know the steel industry world wide is struggling with volume over demand. So whilst it's tough the government need to support till we get this UK industry back on track. They supported the banks.... Southern industry though the banks. Come on support Teesside Steel one day we will need it. Finally what will the cost of these guys being out of work be

Our industries have been slowly eroded away, taking away much needed jobs and security, therefore making the money chain work. We are an island and should be capable of being self sufficient. How many more great industries will disappear

This country has very little traditional industry left - we must not consign steel to the history books, unlike coal, tin, textiles and others. We have to produce to earn, can't keep buying in yet selling nothing.

Steel work is a major part of middlesbrough my grandad worked in the blast furnaces and was killed there in 1940 my dad worked for British steel at dorman long straight from national service
