The backbone of what was the Regions Lifeblood has been cruelly wrenched away. The industry and heritage must be preserved. Lifeblood of the Region is slowly ebbing away, it must not be allowed to happen

Its disgusting that the present government wont help this company through these difficult times . I thought they were trying to encourage companies and support them especially when they had a massive workforce .

People in this area need jobs. Have a look at some of the other places instead of going straight to the north east branch. It's always the north east being cut first so why not give the area a dream and look at some other depose.

The government should at the very least keep the essentials going so it is in a fit state when the steel price increases. However they should be going even further nationalising it. That will never happen with Tory privatisation dogma. This country needs to be a steel producer.

It has already had defecating effects on Teesside as a few companies have already had to lay staff off and close

Steel manufacturering is important for Redcar, important for Teesside and important for the UK.
