Both my grandad and my dad worked at the steel works for many years it is part of the towns history and part of the community loosing so many jobs would effect so many lives and bring a massive rise in unemployment to an already struggling town

My Grandad was a supervisor in the British Steel days and led many people through apprenticeships. Now some of those original workers and my partner are facing an uncertain future. I work in a store in Redcar and I know how much losing the steelworks will affect our whole community.
